Barrels, Knobs, and Superfractors Galore! Jose Canseco Supercollector Eye Candy

It has been a while since I've shown my Jose Canseco collection since I sold out back in 2018.  I went at it hard for about five years trying to get everything, then sold out.  Since then, I've gotten back in, but have worked extremely hard at picking up cards that are super meaningful to me.  I've bought and sold some substantial collections, thinned down, bulked up, rinsed, and repeated.  2024 was a really great year for my collection, and I'm extremely happy & satisfied with where I'm at!  I wanted to show you all some of my favorites.  This

Jose Canseco Game Used Home Run Bat … In a Card!

In 2024, the Topps debut patch cards are all the rage. Imagine having something so iconic from a debut of a big player ... all inside of a baseball card ... and signed, to boot!   Donruss was ahead of the curve on this one. In 2003, their Timeless Treasures offering featured not just a game-used bat piece; the piece of bat came from a home run bat ... home run #311, to be precise - complete with a picture of the actual bat on the back! This is a first for Jose, if I recall.   I had this

Top 50ish Custom Cards I Created this Year!

I'm not quite sure where 2024 went, but here we are, at the cusp of a brand new year.  For me and my family, this year has had many ups, downs, super scary times, and everything in between.  2024 was definitely not boring, that's for sure! Many people have continued to send me scraps of paper they have had signed at some point (many certified) because they are like me: eye appeal is everything when it comes to pieces of our collection.  I'm grateful to have turned these scraps into what many have called true centerpieces of their collections.  I'd

How many times did they reprint the Jose Canseco Rated Rookie?

If I had to pick THE most famous Jose Canseco baseball card, it'd be no surprise that I would say it is his rated rookie. Close behind? No doubt would be his 1987 Topps Rookie Cup.His Rookie Cup card has been reprinted a billion ways from Sunday, and while I think it is cool to be able to get different versions of it, I found this incredibly interesting:The number of times his most famous card was reprinted?Once. And they did it when he was still playing, in 2001.The card you see is my latest pickup. It comes in two flavors:

Trading Baseball Cards is the Best!

Hey everyone! It has been quite a while since I have posted. I normally hang out on social media these days, but missed writing. I thought I'd write up something having to do with my latest trade. As a child, nothing got me more excited than baseball cards.  I'm not sure what was better - getting a pack of cards to open, or trading cards.  As a 9 or 10 year old, I remember having opened some 1989 Topps, and carrying them around in a brown paper lunch bag.  The star of the show?  "Rock" Raines.  It had to be

Is this some sort of a record???

Topps chrome refractors packed a heckuva punch for Canseco collectors at the end of his career. His last at bat was 10/01, and his official retirement was 05/02.   Around the same time period, Topps released FOUR Canseco flagship refractors, all featuring him on different teams (Yankees, White Sox, Angels, Expos). (Is that some sort of a record???) I love using these three pictured as they were literally right in the mix of this time period. They are beautiful together!   With Jose only having played 76 games in his last season (he was picked up late by the White

                Watch this scammer get scammed!

Yesterday, I posted a custom card I created, and someone tried to scam me!  I decided to have a little fun with him.  Check out the back & forth we had :)

The Ultra Rare 1989 Topps Heads up Test Issue

What if I told you 1989 Topps was rare and valuable?  Would you believe me?  What if I told you a PSA 4 1989 Topps Greg Jefferies sold for $65, and that it just might have been a great deal for the buyer?  You'd probably think I was off my rocker.  I'm not talking about this card that we all know and love (though it is one of my favorites in the set!)  I'm talking about this ... What you see is a 1989 Topps Heads Up Test Gregg Jefferies.  Back in 1989, as far as I have researched, Topps

                    Cutting Up Valuable Autographs

So for about 10 years now, I've been creating custom cards for both my and other people's collections, while showing them here. I've had a blast doing it, but 2023 is the year I focused on it more than any year prior. I wanted to show a handful of pieces that I created throughout this past year. I've done a ton more, but these cover a wide array of various designs I created, etc. Happy New Years, fellas! I hope 2024 brings you a lot of great cardboard into your collections!

                      The Last Trade of 2023!

The last trade of 2023 was a super fun one, and it capped off a phenomenal year for my Canseco PC. For a little bit of a back story, the first card I remember ever pulling is a 1987 Topps Jose Canseco. While it isn't his true rookie, it is his most popular Topps card, and perhaps his second most popular card ever, behind his Rated Rookie. In 2017, Topps came out with a set called "Clearly Authentic". In it was a 1986 Topps Canseco Rookie Reprint - and a 1/1 parallel. I thought it was the coolest thing -
