Once upon a time, I was an Owen Nolan super collector and tracking down certain parallels was next to impossible. I still have plenty of players I PC, but since I don't actively chase down specific cards (although I'd really, really, really love to own the 1993 Finest Refractors of Gwynn and Maddux) I don't really know which ones are tough to find.Fujihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00749100861086458307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4951112696073272016.post-15486768986575037132015-04-08T11:34:00.029-07:002015-04-08T11:34:00.029-07:00Very good point! I have been chasing some cards for over a decade, that are not numbered, autographed, relic...nothing like that. Just a simple base card I need to finish my set. But they are so hard to find because people as a general rule don't bother to try and trade/sell them. I've ever had one person tell me they had the card, but couldn't be bothered to pack up and ship it- even though I offered to pay for the shipping.

There is another factor you didn't touch on- they could be in people's collections. I am unusual in that when a card enters my collection, it stays there permanently, but I'm sure there are people out there who have gotten their hands on cards, and kept them as part of their collection...and lots of them probably don't even own computers.
